A little bit about Village Framers Brighton

I know it sounds corny, but we’re in the smiling business.

When we frame a memory, or a beautiful piece of artwork for a client it always puts a smile on their face.

And when we think about them hanging it somewhere special in their home, walking past it every day and perhaps lifting their spirits a little, it puts a smile on our faces too.

Now that’s not the only reason we got into this business, but it’s certainly why we’re so passionate about it.

Respect for the craft, none for convention.

We took over an established, and truth be known - a little tired - picture frame shop in 2018. We’ve always loved art, but had very little knowledge of what we were getting into. Turns out that’s a good thing.

We brought together an amazing team of experienced framers and artists and learned that when you’re not steeped in tradition, you can bring a fresh perspective to an ancient craft.

We cut out subcontracting, took back control and challenged every rule along the way. Now things are done as they should be.

We also realised a lot of people were put off by picture frame shops. They seemed daunting or a bit unfriendly or gave off an air of exclusivity.

So together with our friendly, experienced and passionate team, we are dedicated to the craft but not to convention. We’re doing things a little bit differently.
